Applying for clerkships and PLT placements

Programs
Six-week PLT placements will be offered in the following blocks, although dates can be negotiated to fit in with study commitments.

• March – May
• September – November
• November – February

Four-week clerkships for penultimate and third-year students will be offered between December and February.

Applications for law clerk positions and PLT placements are accepted throughout the year.

Application process
Applications for clerkships are received in March / April and interviews take place in May / June. Applicants are assessed on the basis of their interview, academic record and their life experiences outside their studies.

Applications should include:

• Covering letter
• Curriculum vitae including details of your  work experience, sporting activities, club memberships and other interests
• Most recent transcript of academic results
• Clerkship application form

Applications for clerkships close at the end of April each year. We do however accept applications throughout the year and these will be considered for the next applicable clerkship round.
