Shane practices in the areas of mercantile and insolvency law with a litigation focus.

Shane has completed a Law degree, is undertaking a Masters in Law and is finalising his practical components for admission in this State. Prior to joining Wallmans, Shane worked for a leading law firm for a number of years providing advice to insurers on subrogated insurance recoveries, mercantile agents and commercial clients on an array of litigation matters. Shane has handled property disputes arising out of legal and equitable interests in land and litigation associated with the determination of such competing interests.

Additionally, Shane has provided advice to both private companies and leading ASX-listed companies on matters such as securities, credit policies, contractual documentation and disputes, legislative and regulatory frameworks and litigation generally, both from strategic and procedural aspects.

Prior to working in legal practices, Shane worked for, and provided advice to, one of Australia's leading banking corporations with a specific emphasis on strategic recoveries both secured and otherwise. He has also assisted some of Australia's most successful mercantile agents, providing litigation advice and support to leading figures in the Australian steel, manufacturing and liquor industries.

As a result of his experience in working for a banking corporation and with mercantile agents, Shane has developed a keen understanding of what clients expect in the areas of mercantile and insolvency law and how best to deliver on those expectations.
