Chris acts for several substantial businesses in South Australia and has a particular interest in the wine and grapegrowing industry. In addition to his own vineyard interests, Chris has an extensive winery and vineyard legal practice, and advises major pastoral and manufacturing family groups on commercial aspects of their business, including planning and company structures.

Chris also provides support in areas such as taxation, estate and wealth planning, rural and business succession, trusts, estate entitlements and inheritance family provisions. Insurance and passenger transport are also among Chris’s industry experience and he is consulted by various accounting and legal firms on commercial and taxation issues.

He has been involved in many successful land tax appeals, a winning income tax appeal to the High Court and numerous large family dispute resolutions. He regularly delivers presentations to professional and trade associations and is the author of many articles on tax, especially land tax.

Chris was the honorary solicitor for the Royal Australian Flying Doctor Service for South Australia and the Northern Territory for more than 20 years.
