Margaret specialises in professional indemnity matters in the health industry, acting exclusively in the defence of civil and criminal proceedings involving the medical and dental professions.

Her experience spans more than 25 years, during which time she has represented medical indemnity insurers, medical defence organisations and healthcare providers in the private sector.  She advises on professional disciplinary and complaint issues to the medical and dental professions, and provides legal representation in proceedings before courts and tribunals.

Margaret also provides risk management advice to help health care providers minimise legal risk exposure, as well as support to medical indemnity insurers on their risk management programs.

Whenever possible, Margaret explores alternative dispute resolution to settle matters in what has become an increasingly difficult medico legal environment. She has acted for doctors in a diverse range of civil cases involving medical malpractice litigation.
