Ben joined Wallmans Lawyers in 1995 and is a key member of the firm's Local Government, and Hospitality and Licensing teams.

Ben's Local Government practice includes representing both developers and councils in development applications before development assessment panels, and appeals before the Environment, Resources and Development Court. Ben has been involved in a number of disputes involving building rules assessments and enforcement actions.

His hospitality experience is extensive, acting for various branches of the industry, lay participants and councils. Ben makes numerous licensing and gaming applications involving the Licensing Authority, and appears regularly before the Commissioner, Licensing Court and Supreme Court.

Ben's point of difference is an industry-wide understanding of development as it impacts upon a variety of legislation, including the Local Government Act, the Development Act, the Gaming Machines Act and Liquor Licensing Act.
