Natasha is a senior member of the core Local Government Team at Wallmans. She works with councils across South Australia in a diverse range of local government issues to assist them reach their strategic objectives while achieving legislative compliance.
Councils and other local government entities use Natasha's skills on all matters of governance including, but not limited to, conducting legislative compliance audits, conflict of interest, elected member and employee codes of conduct, meeting procedures, and relevant public consultation requirements. She also assists councils with freedom of information requests, internal and external reviews, has represented councils in major litigation with respect to valuation disputes and recovery of rates, and advises in relation to records management practices and compliance with the State Records Act.
Natasha is regularly requested to conduct training and develop education programs that include elected member roles and responsibilities, freedom of information, responsibilities of members of council subsidiaries and committees, and public and elected member access to information.
Natasha contributes regularly to local government publications including the 'Rate Administrator' and works collaboratively with the Local Government Association and the Local Government Managers Association including with their Emerging Leaders Program.
